Leadtek A6600 GT 3DMark05 very low score

Thread Starter
Hey. I have an Leadtek A6600 GT graphic card and have serious problems with it. I've tested it with 3DMark03 and 3DMark05 and I obtained 58xx and 18xx scores wich are very low. My configuration is: Celeron 2.8, 512 DDR Kingston, 120 GB Maxtor. I installed all drivers, from leadtke, official drivers from nvidia and the ones from guru3d but nothing.
I must mention that I have run the tests on default settings. I had an Radeon 9550 before. I reinstalled windows and have formated the drive C, wich included old windows. Could it be underclocked? I installed RivaTuner and set the clock to default ( 500/900) but it had 2 options, 2D and 3D. Is it possible that it didn't switched automatically from 2D to 3D when I made the tests? Please help, 1 day gone and still no solution found. Thanks in advance. Could it be my configuration? But I wouldn't believe that this configuration can lower the score with an average of ~1200 in 3DMark05.

if u have rivatuner then go and launch option called Hardware Monitoring and u will get graph that shows videocard speeds. leave it in background and run 3dmark and after its done check if your card turned from 2d into preformance 3d.
mine from time to time turns on only into low power 3d.
good luck

Well, Its that Celeron thats pulling your scores down. You can try and see what your max overclock on the CPU is and give it another go, But don't expect too much of a jump.

Yup it's the celly. Even though I'm running my celeron at almost 3.4 ghz and I'm using my crappy old card my scores are still way lower. My 2800 at stock with gpu at stock beat it. So much for project intel pwnage *kicks 'puter*

Well I'm not at home and I can't test right now the thing with RivaTuner. As about the Celeron I don't think it that is the main cause. I'm sure with that configuration I can't obtain 8000 with default clockes...but I should get above 7000, no way 5800. I had an Radeon 9550 and had an score of 3000 in 3dm03 with default clockes wich is an average. And one reason for me to don't believe the Celeron cause is that once, as I said, the 1st game test of 3dm05 worked @ double FPS then usual, so it can go up. Any other suggestions? Thanks for your answers.

I'd monitored the frequencies while running 3dm05 and 03 but it said windows ecnountered an error. I did the thing in one game, and it got up to 500 (so the thing with underclocking isn't the problem), and the game wasn't running well. It's Lineage 2, and it wasn't running good at all @ high details without AA and AS.
And there is one thing that I remmeber. I used to had 9550 and Lineage 2 used to work perfectly @ high details without AA and AS, so it was supposed that with 6600 GT it also works perfectly. I do changed the card, because I installed a cooler that was a little big to stay on the card, but I forced it a bit and I thought that this thing damaged the card, wich started working very bad. But now it seems, that it could be that not the card is the problem.
I can hear a noisy sound on the graphic card when working, even when loading a page (without the case). Could it be possible that my agp slot is damaged or something like that?
