IBM server ram, proprietary?

Thread Starter
Just wondering if ram like this is proprietary to IBM servers.
Or will it work with most mobos the support ECC and Registered Ram.

Thanks

Edit: I supose a like would be helpful

If anything, it looks like it was just a set made for IBM, but it doesn't look custom.

Doesn't look custom, but it is RAM so I need a hi res pic and/or to see it in real to confirm that . Although I'd go for it. Looks pretty good! Good luck!

Looks standard, but bear in mind that many server boards are quite picky about the RAM they will work with. It is usually a good idea to buy something directly from the HCL.

IBM uses standard ram, they just rebrand it with their seal. I once used 4 pc100Mhz dimms from a RISC6000 in an Abit VP6 with the 4 slots filled I was able to run it at 150Mhz without increasing the voltage. I replaced 2 256MB PC133 that would only clock to 139MHz before it would crash.
