which proc is more powerfull a 393 opty 180 or the FX 60? also, can the opty 180 be used with out registered memory?

The FX60 because it's quicker (2.6Ghz compared with 2.4Ghz)
Yes, the Opteron can be used without Registered memory, but if you're going with an Opteron and overclocking I'd try and find a 165/170 or a 175 first as these are likely to overclock to the same speed and are cheaper.
