Lucky you, Im stuck with satellite for $100/month for a 1.5mb connect, which during peak is no faster than dial up.

It's a welcome change for me.
3.0 is good..some people have access to only dialup!

coming from 100MB/100MB for roughly ~50 USD per month.... it took some serious getting used to US's crappy 1.5 MB down/768 up.

now I have charters 2.0 MB down and its costing me almost 80 USD per month.

Oh my God Beric said it perfectly.

In my area, mostly low income and minorities, Charter Communication is the only serviced offered here.

I've literally tried:
ATT
Verizon
Clear
3G and 4G connectivity from all companies
Satellite connectivity via ATT
Time Warner road runner
Sprint mobile hotspot
T-Mobile mobile hotspot

...I've tried all of these but they DO NOT SERVICE THIS AREA.

Pathetic.

I used to get steady 1.5mb down and ~65ms ping, and since I have been paying $50 a month for this qwest crap (only ISP that isn't dialup here, which is dildos, I am only 2 miles out of town!) it has been slowly degrading and now is this.

And this was my all time low, last month. DSL Slower than Dialup=Qwest.
