Lagging effects and overclocking.

Why is my video "lagging" (the screen freezes alot but time still passes) after an overclockl? It only started after I found a good, stable overclock with no artifacts. It happens with offline games also so don't even suggest my internet connection. I read about this problem somewhere and my searches prove inconclusive.

Thanks.

well if your still active on this page its because when your card heats up it backs down.... also you have a fx 5500 that doesn help but if you get pci tool 2... then your good to go let me get a link to it

ughhh they updated it and the new version doesnt work.............. you cant optimize the latency on this one because there is no display adapter visible to my eyes.. darn that stinx.... they need to fix that in the newer realeases also other than that get this graphics card driver its awesome http://www.tweaksrus.com/index.php?o...127&Itemid=41/ you will be very pleased because it comes with overclocking coolbits with it and a tweaked awesome graphics card driver which could help your performance out but im not sure if it will help that much........

the fx series are pos's... my ti4200 performs better then the fx 5xxx series... i know too, i have an fx5200. my ti4200 overclocked higher then the fx did, and now my 6600gt is kicking both their asses.

also could be because your card isnt stable too. turn down the oc a little bit.
