Haven't installed it yet, because I'm still waiting to buy my motherboard because I've been poor.

Intel X-25M 160GB next to my i7-970

Yes my pic looks like ****. I forgot to turn off the slight HDR effect on my phone.

Have ordered my 3rd X25-V (post xmas sales rock) for my R0

Don't think I'll bother with a 4th, as you start to hit the controller's upper limits there.
Plus within 4mth there'll be some new awesome buys & it'll be time to sell my 3x X25-V.

My work in progress +.
X25-M 80.

I'll be looking forward to a PCIe bootable SSDrive club next.
Cutting edge is fun isn't it.

Terry.

I have a 80gb G2 as my OS drive and two 80gb G1 drives in Raid 0 as storage drives. Do you think this is the optimal setup, or should I just raid all three drives and lose trim?

You have the right setup for these two reasons:
*one good SSD is plenty fast for an OS, and the X25M is still pretty awesome
*OS drives take a lot of writes in the background, so TRIM is more useful on an OS drive than on a data drive; loosing TRIM may be visible

Got my hands on a new Intel 320 (G3) 120GB.

Here's an atto test of the drive.

Overall, I am very impressed with the drive considering its SATA II. It was a vast upgrade over my 5400 rpm 2 tb hdd.

This is now The Official Club! biggrin.gif

Since I'm so cool I'm bumping this and I don't have a Intel SSD. XD

Anyone who would like to take over this thread?
