This is a replacement boot drive after the OCZ SSD I used to build the computer in 2011 crashed after little under a year's life. (the information I researched at the time suggested the crash was due to me setting the computer to sleep; Since then I thought I read that newer SSD's do not have this weakness but I've never put my computer to sleep since then...)
At some point last year I noticed I was down to only MB of free space. Turned out this was a combination of copies of Nvidia installation files & the system image of some new memory I'd recently added. Deleting the Nvidia files & clearing my SSD of practically everything else left me with 5 GB free space. However it's been steadily decreasing as little updates here and there add up.
I'm at a loss as to where the rest of the space went. Steam, Origin, Uplay are all on my 1TB drive & my photos and video are all on my 750GB drive. My SSD "pictures, downloads, etc" folders are empty. The space is on drive C somewhere, I just don't know how to figure it out.
Could be system restore points. Check if there are any and delete old ones.
Also, check your appdata folder, Even programs installed on other drives can use space there.
