S-video connection?

is it possible to display with solely an s-video cable.. i cant see why not because the HD cables etc come from there.. the application is ill put it on my comcast HD box, last stop a panasonic 44' plasma... i dont want to go into DVI and HDMI i dont want to spend that much on something ridiculously unessesary

Yes, it's possible... You would need to have it hooked up to a monitor at first, but once you set the S-Video output to be your default then you're good to go.
