New opt 165 in my expert board,,, testing 0546MPMW stepping.... - Page 2

Fom what I've seen from the phase people it's the cold temps themselves, not the ability to run very high vcore that makes for the high oc. In fact, I think I recall the last chip ncsa ran he got 3.4 with 1.65vcore, I think.

A very nice OC esp dual core stable... good work.

Those Ballistix should do more than 250, some go up to 300 which will help your OC options and performance. Look at using x8 with high HTT and mem on a divider to max them out.

WIth water you should be able to run a bit higher Vcore and push further a wee bit.

BTW, do bench that new Raptor, would be good to see those results.

Thanks,, and im still plugging away at getting the RAM up as high as possible,... right now I have the ballistix set im fooling with and a set of G.Skill pc4000 extrem HZ set,,,

I am dual prime Small FTT 18hour stable and LArge Ftt 8 hour stable so far as ive tested,,,

but its strange because sometimes when I run Large FTT prime it will prime for like 8 hours till I end it other times core one ends after like 15 secs ,,, it seems very random and has happen a few times,,,, not sure if its a ram issue,,, with drive strength and what not the Expert board is very picky,,,

either way its all 3dmarks stable and its game stable so im happy so far,,,, I still have to do some more tweaking,,,

NCSA what do you recomend for benching the hard drive I havent done much Harddrive benching but would be more then happy to post a review and my findings,,,,

thanks ,,, ps if you have any advice for the large FTT issue id be more then happy, to hear it

close to 2.9....you could feed that more voltage, you are on water..
I doubt your temps are that bad, but with a dual core I wouldn't give it TOO much voltage...probably 1.65-1.7 max.. I would only run 1.7 with a dual for a suicide..

I can boot windows at 2880 and even at 2900 and can run Super Pi mod but if I try prime I get BSOD and reboots,,, but i can get a few benches in,,,,

Im still trying to see if its my temps keeping me out of prime stable at 2.85 and up or if its just the chip,, im sure its a little of both,,,
