GPU Core Temps? What do you get?

Thread Starter
So I've got my XFX 6800GS @ 500/1250 stable, and my idle temp is 43-44C with 33C ambient (don't have any forced intake yet, only exhaust). When I'm running it full load, I've never seen the temps higher than 75C. Is this good/bad/normal? I was just wondering what kind of temps I should be expecting, and if I'm running hot, will just some more airflow help me out?

your temps arent bad... start to worry when u start hitting 80-85c + its always good to apply AS5 and a better cooler if u can, but for now i dont think u have to, but to be safe you should... hope this helps

Hi Komet,

The key piece of data in your post is the 33degC ambient. With that temp, the 43-44degC temps look good. That's about 10degC over ambient. Example: my ambient is 21degC, 24.5degC in the case and right now the gpu is 38degC on an X850Pro (16pipes 521/548) OC'd. The cooler is an Artic Silencer Rev 2, so your temps are great in comparison!

I hope this helped, :-)
