You need a full tower case, the board should be E-ATX, so shouldn't fit in mid tower case

Yeah don't pay 200+ for a 260, those things are not worth more than 160-170. Get a 275 if you really have to go Nvidia, but a 5850 would be so much better...

Thread Starter
Thanks everyone, I will look into a cheap 275. If I can't find one, I suppose I can make the leap to ATI haha.

I checked the Microcenter web store and there is nothing above a GTS. Do you have a link?

Sorry, looks as though they all got sold through. We received a shipment of about 25 of them last week, but at the price they were at, I'm not surprised we sold them all already.

Double post:

the best recommendation I've been able to make to my customers who are avid Nvidia fans (like myself), is to pick up an EVGA anything, supposing a 260 or 275 if you find a good price, expecting to use the 90-day step-up program to a Fermi card. Gives you something to use for the time being, and the card you want, at a slightly more manageable price (since you can save for another month) at the end of March.

Triple post:

I actually checked our in-store stock today and found that we do have 13 of the BFG GTX 275s in stock (this is the Dallas, TX store). Whether they came in earlier this week, or are just left over from what we had, isn't something known to me. They're priced at $198.99 as of February the 27th. Note: Sale changeover happens March 7th, and the price will rock back up to the "unnecessary-in-comparison-to-an-ati-card" price.

If you've got a MC near you, I'd stop by and check with them to see if they've got them in stock. The inventory system, as well as the online website has been completely F'd for quite some time.

i pefer a sexy looking build over speed. i think his gtx 260 is fine, it still maxes out everything bascily nowadays. I would personly geta ven-x or megalehems cause your cooler aint gona get the 4.2ghz your chip deserves.
