Help Overclocking 4400+ & 7800gtx

Thread Starter
Lo All,

I aint really well up on overclocking well actully i'm a n00b but I have already started my long walk to expensive paperweights by tinkering with things I know nothing about and I am hoping one of you lot can bail me out so to speak.

I currently have the following settings

X2 4400+ - 2.2 to 2.4
7800GTX 480Mhz x 1.3Ghz

The above was all on stock but today I have been out and got some uprated heatsinks and fans so I could continue my work

My targets are - at least 2.6 for the 4400+ and I was hoping 500Mhz x 1.4Ghz for the 7800GTX but I aint to sure about that one lol

My Main problem is I know f00k all about voltages and memory clocking etc so basically HELP what should I be changing here??????

Thanks in advance!

(Realises bit out of his depth but you never know till you try)

Once you are familiar with your bios and what to change, I will give you some numbers to get to that speed. Should be a piece of cake. I bet you could get to 2.7-2.8

im preety familar with my bios, have my cpu at 2607, htt 3 ,cpu volts 1.525 ,ram is at 2.8 and nb at 1.55 , fsb at 237 x 11, everytime i try to raise the fsb a notch or so i get blue screened, do i have an error in my settings? i would definatly like to get this to 2.7.. 2.8 would be great, My cpu is liquid cooled, built a custom rig around a swiftech h20-220 ( it includes a fridge and 30 feet of copper pipe etc ) my idle temps are about 13-15 and load is 18 - 21 so im not to worried about heat right now, let me know if your interested in helping me

Thanks
