First build in 4 years. Time for a BIG step up. Enter G36 "Terminus"

After getting some advice in the Intel CPU forum, I'v just about worked the kinks out of my build plans. As you can see from my sig rig, it is simply no longer able to keep up with current software.

I usually name my rigs based on their case (My old rig had BMW style lights on the front bezel). The new build will be called G36 Terminus. The case, a Cooler Master Storm Scout, has top handles resembling the HK G36 rifle (One of my favorites). Terminus is latin for "Boundary Stone" and is what I call my AR-15 semi auto rifle, since it is my most prized gun and something I would never surrender under any circumstances. Thus: G36 Terminus!

On to the details:

Case: Cooler Master Storm Scout
PSW: Antec True Power 750 watt
HDD: WD Caviar Black 750gb (More then enough for my needs)
GPU: XFX HD 5770 1Gb Juiper XT
MoBo: EVGA P55 LE 123-LF-E653-KR LGA1156
Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 2000
CPU: Xeon X3340 Lynnfield 2.53ghz
Optical Drive: Basic Lite-On drive
Cooling: Stock fan with AS5 for now
OS: Windows 7 Pro (Free from MSDNAA!)

Total cost: $981.90

I'm trying to catch a sale so I am ordering tonight. I need to read up more on cooling and will start that project this summer. In the meantime, I'll try to get to 3.0Ghz on stock air until I can dedicate some time and do cooling right.

Feel free to give input. I'll consider any and all advice until I order later tonight. As I said, I'm saving $140 in discounts that expire soon. Expect pictures and build details sometime next week

EDIT 1: I ran a 3D Marks test of my current rig. 1967

***Update***
The build is finished. Pics will be up tomorrow. I overclocked the CPU right off the bat from 2.53 to 3.0Ghz before installing windows. My 3DMarks 06 score is 16900! I am VERY pleased with this. Thats a 15000 point increase from my old system.

This should catch you up on cooling if you haven't seen it already. Guide to Cooling Shadowclock put a lot of info into one place.

Hope this helps.

Looks like a pretty good setup! Enjoy it.

Yeah. Stock air until this summer, and then I'm going to rig up a proper air cooling setup. With school in session, I hardly have time to get the rig put together.
