Benchmark for MicroSD and regular SD cards?? Flash Drives

Thread Starter
Is there a benchmark that is quick and easy for testing these types of things. Like for MicroSD cards. or flash drives. I have HDTune, but it doesn't do write tests cuz my Raid0 stripe I think.

Sandra maybe? I'm downloading that now. Does anyone know of an easy and quick benchmark so I can test Multiple Micro SD cards.

I have a Class 2 1GB Transcend.

I have a Class 6 8GB Transcend

I just bought the MICRO, not regular 16GB Class 10, just came out, and I wanna test it.

the Kingston MicroSDHC 16GB Class 10 card, was just released. I need a good benchmark test

HD Tune, just realize that the way you connect it to your pc will effect your results. As in you might see better results using an micro SD slot (internal header) vs an external header with a usb adapter.

Also here's another program I found but I can't check because the link it blocked at here at work:

and CrystalDiskMark might also be useful:

as far as im aware, hdtune wont do write tests on anything (hdd, ssd, flash drive, etc) that is formated. Try eraseing all partitions on target drive (so file system is RAW).

Well I don't want to erase all partitions on my 1.16TB Nvidia stripe of my Hard drives... uhh I can only imagine.

But I'll whipe the SD card and try again, since I backed everything from it and all phone files and stuff to my PC. I'll wipe it, and try again in HDtune, then do same test on my 16 class 10 while it's empty.

Also, yea I'm using a Micro to SD adapter, and then I have a SD USB stick I insert the SD card and use a USB port.

right now my transcend 8GB class 6 is getting around 12-15MB/s transfering a 3.5 GB file containing 1GB video's, music, and pictures and basically everything from my smartphone in one large transfer I saw 15.7 be the fastest..

Thanks for info so far, Sandra is way to complicated

Nope, even after wiping my SD card and completely formatting it, it still wont do a write test.

I was intrigued and decided to see if i could get a write test on my lexar 4gb thumb drive with HDTune. I loaded up ol' Paragon Partition Manager and deleted the nfts partition, but hdtune still said i needed to lose the partition. After some trial and error i found a great app called KillDisk, did a full zero-fill pass on the lexar, but hdtune still gave me the finger. I'm begining to think hdtune has a bug/strange limitation concerning the write test...

Anyways, found this, thought it might help: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/5-light...drive-windows/
