I'm Bored and Broke, I Need Help Finding Something To Do!

Well I have no money at all. I recently made a huge computer order that cleaned me out, and I currently have no source of revenue, and a lot of time on my hands (I'm in high school, but still to young to get a job).
As they say, an inactive mind is the devil's playground, so to keep that little guy away (at least for a little while) I always like to have something I'm working on. Something that will keep me going for a while. This summer it was building a computer. These past few months its been getting to know the ins and outs of my hardware. Then once I felt I understood not just how to plug in my computer, but actually how its managing to run, I started to expand my knowledge of Windows. Of course, I'll never learn everything, and with most OS tricks it takes running into them by accident, to learn about them, but now I've found I am pretty knowledgeable on that too.
Then, I took up becoming an Audiophile. I have done extensive research, and am currently planning to spend my next large amount of money on a high end audio system (including building my own subwoofer). Now I just need to start collecting that money, and its gonna take a while. I've spent time learning how to OC my hardware as well. I painted my computer case, modded my VGA cooler, made an SSD boot drive, worked on cable managment.
So, as you can see, I need something new.

I looked into building websites, but I don't have the money atm to buy a domain. I am about to start learning music creation, but I'm not sure how long that will last me.
I am interested in learning to build a website (I have some adobe dreamweaver and adobe fireworks experience), but I can't afford the domain. Is there any way I can get around that (free domains?)
My xbox doesn't work right now (RROD) so I've been thinking about trying the towel trick, but I hear that just decreases the life of it in the long run..?

So until I have money, it looks like I'm screwed. Is there anything I can do just sitting at home? Any suggestions?

**BTW I don't own a dremel, and I don't have skills with power tools**

15. I try and do computer repair services for friends and family, but that source of revenue is slow and inconsistent. Sometimes I'll do small jobs for neighbors like shoveling or mowing the lawn, but its only in the summer when I can actually get a real job.

There are occasionally places that sell domain names for like $1.20. There was one last week, but I can't remember where (or what conditions etc, I'm not a web creator person)

Maybe take up a sport? They can be fun, especially if its a non-competitive league, or group of friends

practice your power tool skills?

What interests do you have? Hard for us to say. And, if your in highschool, your old enough for a job. They can be really hard to find, but some places higher as young as 14. Maybe work for a family member? That is the main way I've gotten a job, stupid Cali economy fail

I'm in the same position pretty much. But a soldering gun has been my new best friend. And the mechanical aspect of things is a good thing to get into. Just find something that doesnt quite work, take the thing apart, rebuild it.

For instant, the other day I got bored. Tore the heatsink off my XFX 7900GS and just left the brass plate, covered the plate in arctic silver, then JB Welded a CPU heatsink on top of that, then Superglued two 80mm case fans on it, soldered the power wires together then to the chip, surprisingly it worked, (didnt care too much if it worked or not) dropped my temps 15C idle and load. So essentially a free way of making a really dumpy, yet effect HSF.

Try around with photoshop, vegas studio, or pick up a book. I personally like to innovate with things that dont work, amplifiers, computer parts, stuff on my car ect. Pushups keep me entertained too for a few, if none of the above is possible

Get a hobby. I enjoy restoring old furniture. I made friends with some guys that work at the local dump, they call me up when they think there's an old piece of furniture that I'd like to work on. I work on it, restore it, then sell it for a good profit depending on how big it is, how it turns out, who wants it, etc. Last week I found an old Victorian dresser sitting outside of a house by the garbage, went to the house and knocked on the door and asked if I could have it. I got the okay, took it home and began to restore it

3 days later I put it up on Craigslist for $400, I walked away with $375 (damn lowballers kept trying to offer me $50... that's 1/8th of the advertised price lol...)

But that's just an example, there's always stuff to do. Paint your room, fix up stuff in your house, have a yard sale, etc.

What about modding an old CPU heatsink onto your 4870?

I <3 my soldering irons and guns. I think they're hot.
Audio DIY and having a mind for learning has served me well for the past few years lol.

figuring out one implementation, seeing another, determining sonic differences if any. it's fun stuff.
