How To: Sync Game Saves with Multiple Computers

Thread Starter
Steam cloud is an awesome feature. It keeps your saves in the cloud so that you can access it from multiple computers. It's much better than the UbiSoft DRM BS.

I was looking at a way to do this with games that do not support Steam Cloud; and found an app called SugarSync. Its free account gives you 2GB of storage; which should be more than enough for game saves.

If anyone knows of another program that works too; let me know and I'll include it here.

Here are the game saves locations that I know of. If you know the location of a game save; let me know and I'll update this post.

Replace Username with yours. The drive will be where your Documents folder is.

Bioshock :\\Users\\Username\\Documents\\Bioshock\\SaveGames
Dragon Age :\\Users\\Username\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Characters
Mass Effect :\\Users\\Username\\Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect\\Save

Next is a tutorial on installing SugarSync; and setting it up.
Registration is required; but it's free and I haven't got any spam from them.
I am not affiliated with them. If anyone know of a similar program they like to use; I'll gladly link it here.

1) Go to https://www.sugarsync.com/downloads/ and download the software.

2) Install software. I installed it on my boot disc since it's a startup program.

3) Log in. Next choose advanced setup to choose which folders to sync.

4) Click on Add Folders From This Computer

5) Choose the folders you want to sync. Refer to the beginning of the post for games save locations.

6) Click on Sync to make the folder sync with your other PCs.

7) Choose which PCs to sync to.

8) Accept the sync on your other PC; and you're done!

I hope someone finds this useful. I use it on my laptop and desktop; and it works great.

That program looks pretty good You could also try out gamesave manager, works awesome for backing up and restoring/transferring save games.

Nice idea.

I've heard of a few people using GameSave Manager and "Dropbox" to store their gamesaves "on the cloud" too.

+REP to you KoukiFC3S all the same.

Another method of doing this would be using Windows Live Sync Beta, which will have 5gb of storage and also VNC capability. I have a guide written up here: http://www.shinyhacks.com/2010/09/ho...-on-cloud.html
