X850 Pro Flash Mod but still only 12 pipes,,,, Where did I go wrong?

Ok I have been reading a lot over the last few months and decided to slowly get my system ready for 16 pipes.

I completed the X850 Pro Mod to X850XT but still only get 12 pipes.

Before my attempt to get 16 pipes I had the following ;
ATI X850 Pro AGP 256Mb(meets requirements for mod)
Omega drives
ATT Tool
Zalman VF700 cooling

GPU at 501
Mem at 636
ATT 3D Benchmark at 6,325.09 with no artifacts
Aquamark3 scored 39,344.0

I used a floppy and booted to DOS and saved my old bios
I then used the "ATIFLASH309" aka,, Flashrom to execute the flash
I then loaded "ATI X850XT PE" Bios with Flashrom
I then rebooted the system, loaded my omega 6.01 drivers
Device Manager shows Video device as a Radeon X850

My benchmarks and performance is not as good as the origional.

Where did I go wrong here? I think its the Omega drivers loaded the wrong drivers but not sure yet.

Any Advise or suggestions?

I also included the Tool Screen shot showing a "E" after one of the lines. I dont recall this being there with origional bios but could be wrong.

Thanks for the link.

I will restore the previous bios and check with the tool to see if my "E" has gone away. As I said I don't recall that being a "E" before I did the mod so we shall see.

My gut says it was an oversite on my part and its locked.

Will update results

I'm 99.9% sure that those values mean that your card is hardware locked, and there's nothing that can be done. I don't think flashing caused it.

I flashed back to oldbios,,, (glad I saved) and reloaded the omega drivers (newest versions) and the tool.

You were right the "E" on that string is still there and,,, yup right again,,, that means its locked!

Some how I missed it in my origional research when trying to figure out if my card could undergo the mod.

Now I have to just tweek my setting to max the performance.

Thanks much!
