Help--Asus Chassis Intruded Error - Page 3

its the chassis intrusion switch connection on the mobo, its connected to a switch that is pushed whenever youre case is closed with the side panel thus disabling the chassis intrusion message.....disconnect the switch and put a jumper over it

ya that sounds about right...normally tho it displays in boot up but ive never had one that halted system start up or what not. and there should be a reset jumper or somthing. i say cut the wires and solder them 2 geather...but then im just up for soldering ; ) best of luck with this. ull be shure 2 get more exsperianced people on later. after 5 or so.

Edit: "its the chassis intrusion switch its connected to a switch that is pushed whenever youre case is closed with the side panel.....disconnect the switch and put a jumper over it" <-- thats what sounds right.

hi i was just wondering if u solved this issue. as im having a similiar problem with my maximus formula. just bought it too.
ive tried everything to avoid that error. replaced battery , cleared cmos 10,000 times, played with chasis jumper lead for hours. installed latest bios , rolled back bios installed new again, etc. anything u can think of ive done lol.
differernce is though , i only get the error when i change my overclock settings to MANUAL? otherwise it boots up fine with defualt. (and no, i dont want to run default) i have ddr2 1066 so i have to run it on manual to get the 2.2 volts.
im about to rma this board , so im desperatly trying to find an answer. i dont want to wait mnths for a new one.

if any stray cables end up touching the case they can induce an electrical charge,

which will set off the chassis intrusion error regardless of jumper/bios config.

Yo dude what the hell, why'd you bring back a thread from ages ago?
I'm pretty sure in 3 years this problem has been solved.

Edit: now you change it to pink? That makes it a pain in the ass to read..
