9800 pro driver failed

i was running 3dmark05 and my computer restarted and when windows came back on it said display driver for 9800 series seems to be responsible for system instability does anyone no whats causeing this i have the newest drivers 6.1 and tried a lower version and nothing seems to work.

I had that happen on me. I forget when it happened but I got the "video drivers cause the system to crash"..can't really say since right after that my PSU blew on me and had to RMA it.

Not saying that you're PSU is going to blow but it wouldnt be a bad idea to see if it's getting enough juice...actually what kind of case do you have because if it;s one that was bundled with the case they arent the greatest and I would lean to getting a new PSU when ever you can since mine blew up on me right after this problem you are having

I would be leary about that PSU, I had the 480W one....look inside the case and see if hte Amp ratings are easily seen and post what the +12V rail states as the given Amps

It should be fine, and mine should have been fine too but I find it ironic that you are having the exact problem I did and then my PSU blew...I don;t want to cry wolf but they arent the greatest of PSUs but it shouldnt damage anythingin the system if it blows
