Who else here has btx setups? I wanna see how we could improve on our already superior cooling.

check out my work in progress in my sig. Hey who says you can beef up a gateway.

it's just too expensive to invest in a BTX MoBo when you can ....get another fan...

I'm not knocking it at all, I'm just explaining my lack of exploration.

yeah thats cool. But adding more fans doesn't bring your cooling even close to what btx does with only 2 fans.

Yes it does, as long as you keep the case cool with moving air, anything is just as good.

maybe. But im sure you guys will be running btx next year. Its already taken over gateway, dell, and hp. With asus, msi, and gigabyte to debut in a month or so. You guys should really check it out though. You'll be really surprised

It does allow for a computer to run much quieter. I was surprised how quiet some of these BTX systems are. My computer has so many fans, my room sounds like the passenger cabin of an airliner

I looked at BTX a little before I decided to go with my current build, but it's still kinda new (Newegg only shows about 4 boards built on BTX).


If it takes off, I'll give it another look next year or year after when I build a new system.

i have a thermaltake kandalf and it has the btx option soo if btx is the way to go i can easily switch, wow i have an item which maybe future proof
