Quake 4 Randomly Freezes...

Thread Starter
Ok so i just bought Quake 4 and started playing it, and i got to the next level and was running up to a door and it completely FROZE, as in locked up, and i had to restart my computer. Then i booted it back up and played from the save spot, i got farther but it froze again!!!

I know this is not heat issues because i run rivatuner temp log whenever i play games, and my GPU's max load is ~65C, also my cpu isn't an issue, as it is 16 hrs dual sp2004 stable load ~38C.

Sometimes i can play for 1 hr+ and it won't freeze, but sometimes it randomly freezes.

Anybody experiencing the same thing? or can anyone help?

Try defragging your HDD and make sure the RAM is stable at its timings too.
