Problem with my new machine

Thread Starter
I just built a new machine just before christmas which consists of:

Asus A8N-Sli Premium
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200
2x1GB Corsair XMS 3200 RAM
2x74GB Raptor in RAID-0
1x320GB WD Sata HDD
2xLite On DVD-RW DL Drives
BFG 7800 GT OC PCI-E
Antec 500 HE Power Supply

The machine runs beautifully 99% of the time. As I said I built it just before christmas, approaching the 1 month mark. During that time it has randomly shut off about half a dozen times. It runs 24/7 and won't have problems for days then it will just suddenly turn off. Turn it back on fine for days again. Clean install of XP Pro, no viruses/spyware etc, no messages in the system event logs, its on a UPS (Which has run me through a few short power outages, so I'm pretty sure its ok). It's just really frustrating and I would like to find out what the deal is. Only think I have noticed is that there is some fluctuation in the voltages.
Vcore: Sits at 1.36 most of the time but can fluctuate from 1.30 to 1.46
+3.3: Normally sits at 3.30 or 3.28
+5.0 Seems to sit around 4.87 most of the time fluctuating form 4.82-5.02
+12.0 Sits around 11.90 and fluctuates from about 1.87-12.02

CPU Temp under load is about 125 F, MB Temp around 100 F

System is in an Antec P180 case which has 4x120MM fans and 1x80MM fan, plus a TT heatpipe cooler (Forget the model) with silver based thermal paste (not arctic silver but not the white silicone stuff)

Any suggestions/advice welcome and appreciated, my best guess is that its a power supply problem but its just so wierd how random it is.

I think its your power supply, it looks like its fluctuating too much. The voltage should only vary by .01 or .02 volts. Id reccomend these...

I agree with the psu most likely being the prob....because of the power spikes...if you have another one around that you know is good, plug it up and see what happens

Weird. Antec makes good power supplies. I have an antec TP-II 550w on my second rig with the same mb and raptor drive. It was my original board with my BFG 7800Gt and corsair ram, so very similar systems (different cpus though). I've had several antecs and they have all (with the exception of the one my DFI board blew) been really solid. Still, voltage fluctuations as mentioned above could be PS problems. The Seasonic S12-600 I picked up to replace my antec (its in my second rig) is really stable. I highly recommend it. 51C for CPU and 37C for mobo seem a bit high. With my premium, mobo temps never went over 31 even under load. for the cpu, i cant compare evenly but my 4000+ runs at 28C idle and 31-32c on air stock under load. The duals run a bit hotter though and those temps are still within guidelines
