The Athlon 64 3000+ is the better processor and it should be about $150.00 dollars U.S.

10, k an athlon is 32 bit and the 64 is 64 bit so basically double the performance

A system you build around a 3000+ would be better than your 2500+... only because you'd have faster mem, and you'd have a better vid card.

Apart from a better mem controller, I don't see why the 3000+ itself would be much better at the same speed though.

Ummm comparing the two i'd give the 2500+ a 7 and the 3000+ a 10 due to its good overclocking and affordable price.
