Custom Water Build help, please

Hi Guys,

I've been doing TONS of research on water cooling for this current build I'm doing and I had thought I'd pretty much gotten all the kinks worked out of it... until I took a random glance at a case photo and the radiator I was going to use. It looks to me like the radiator won't fit the rear of the case outlet! This is rather problematic, but I may just be nuts.

Here are the build specs- nothing's bought yet, but I'm getting ready to in the next week or so- 2200 budget, a la my fiance:

Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/product/Produc...82E16813130527
PROC: http://www.newegg.com/product/Produc...82E16819103527
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227210

GFX: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150100
With an ultra x-2 PSU.

Cooling:
Danger Den cylindrical reservoir with the D-5 pump: http://dangerdenstore.com/product.ph...5&cat=4&page=1

Radiator: DD Black Ice Extreme http://dangerdenstore.com/product.ph...&cat=72&page=1
Water Block(s):
CPU: http://dangerdenstore.com/product.ph...&cat=21&page=1
GPU: http://dangerdenstore.com/product.ph...&cat=48&page=1

http://www.xoxide.com/asus-vento-360...ase-green.html has side-views of the case- note the 120mm fan's clearance off the top and bottom- I don't think I can get a radiator and fan into that spot without case modification, or am I misjudging the sizes? Anyone have personal experience with that or have a solution by eyeballing it?

Thanks in advance,
Devman

Pump- good
Res- could be better, but it will do...
Radiator- get a larger one at least 2x120mm or do a heatercore
Water Block- bad block... Apogee is the best and cheaper
http://www.overclock.net/water-cooli...-shipping.html

GPU block- Here is a better one as well

As per the GPU block- I thought that WC'ing the RAM would be a good thing... guess not? Thank you for pointing me in the right direction on both accounts.

As per my original question, however, if one looks at the clearance of the rear case fan versus the added length of the radiator, will it fit, just by eyeballing it, in the case or am I on the market for another case?

Thanks,
Devman

I'd love to do it that way, too, but I've got to incorporate the cooling solution into the price- if you can manage that, I'm all ears!

Again, though, thank you for the ideas! Any and everything is much appreciated! I think the heater core idea on a push/pull 2 fan system would work inside the vento... I really sort of fell in love with it's design..

You cooling system if done correctly will be sub $200, so you can get a cheaper case (athough that P180 is very nice) and possible a different motherboard. If I were you, I would scrap the watercooling (for now) and stick with a Big Typoon for only $35. These although to do extensive OCing, but at a much more affordable cost. I think that you really don't need the watercooling, if you can use that money on better parts.

If you want to do watercooling, scrap the 7800GTX for a GT, that will give you plenty of money, as you can get a good 7800GT for 275...

I agree with that. Plenty of people love the GTX, but you are better off getting a well rounded system then the prize video card and skimping on everything else. Even possibly going with 1Gig of RAM would be fine. Make sure you get a good power supply. The Sunbeam Nuuo is a great PSU for the money at $83 shipped at zipzoomfly. Also look into getting two 74Gig Raptors instead of 1 150gig, it might be cheaper and you can setup a raid.

There's my two cents. If you decide to open a bit more money up we would love to help you with watercooling
