You could have 2 or more uniprocessor clients on a dual core, but not SMP ones, cause they are not going to finish the WUs in time, and if they do the points will be real low.

Try the only one SMP client to begin with and u should be good!
oops! i have been running two clients--along with gpu2--for the past 2 days

i will finish these two current WUs and run only one client.

yes, that would be more suitable!!!
1 GPU2 client and 1 SMP client FTW

It will be better for sure! Faster too, and more points FTSW!

this is splitting hairs, but would anyone know why fahmon shows a redbox next to my smp client?

i had to shut the smp client down and change the config and restarted it up. it is still running but now fahmon shows it as a redbox. i did "delete" this client" and readded it but it still shows red. oh and "eta" is now gone. but it is still running.

Restart the SMP client... after 4/5 attemnpts, restart the client again.

If you do that a few times, restart the computer.

And if that doesn't work, reinstall.

Try pressing F6 (to refresh it).

If that doesn't work, reinstall Fahmon.

I have had an issue with HFM.net also when i installed it it came already with someone's info put in. I have filled in all my information in the pref menu but I do not have an extreme overclocking user ID, when I went to the website I could not figure out how to register.

That's just the generic name on there. When you go to http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/search.php and enter your name that you fold under, then your id that you are speaking of will be the numbers at the end of the web address at the top of your browser window. Have you folded any WU's yet? If so then what did you have your name as when you folded them?
