5870 Super Overclock vs Lightning vs Matrix

Hey, it's me again. Finally, I decided to buy a 5870 for myself. However, yesterday I read an article, I felt confused.

It mentioned that there are many kinds of overclocked cards, such as Asus's Matrix, MSI's Lighting, and Gigabyte's Super Overclock Series. I would like to ask some news about SOC or Lightning. Could somebody give me some advices which edition is better? What are their advantage and weakness? THX a lot again

The overclocking has to do with the BIOS. You can get any of the cards you want but flashing to an ASUS bios is the best. The Asus bios has very high limits. Meaning more overclocking room. Nothing about the actual cards. Just software behind them.

We all overclock our cards ourselves around here, so pretty much nobody is ever going to tell you spend extra money to buy a factory-overclocked card unless there is something else about it that makes it a better card besides the overclock that comes on it.

The Lightning is truly such a card, in that it has a lot of upgraded, higher-quality components, and overall will probably overclock the highest of all 5870's (that's my guess, anyways).
