Getting an error that my 6870 is not supported
I used to fold with my 4870 and everything was fine... Is there another client I should use or I need to wait for an update from Stanford?
I heard some stuff about an update but I'm quite confused at this point

Did you make sure to check the end of the first post? Where it described how to add the -forcgepu ati_r800 flag for 5/6 series GPUs?

Yes, actually it's saying :

Quote:
*An alternative is to use the GPU3 client linked above. You will still get GPU2 WUs, but you don't need to use the follow instructions.*

1) If you want to fold on a 5xxx series GPU, you will need to add a flag. To do this, go to the install location of the GPU client (in C> Program Files (x86)> Folding@home> Folding@home-gpu).

Make a shortcut of the Folding@home.exe file into the "Startup" Folder in the Start Menu. Rightclick the shortcut and choose Properties. At the end of the "Target" field, add a space and -forcegpu ati_r700, as below:
I'll try with the ati_r800 flag!

Ha! The "target" was greyed out and I was writting it in the "Start in" zone.

I guess you'll update first post with r800 too?

And thanks for replying to quickly... that was VERY quick
