I've been folding for team OCN for the past week and not so much as a "welcome to the team" or "thanks for the help"..... Officially removing the team number from my folding. May just uninstall the client.

I'm not sure what the recommended minimum score is before u get a simple thanks here.... but I know there are other teams out there.

Bye

There's no minimum score. Posting in some of the Folding threads kinda helps though...

Same thing. But if I had a question, comment, or thought, it was welcome, and responded to. When I had trouble, and posted, it was fixed almost immediately because of the help I received here. I don't fold because I want a "thanks", I fold because I think this is a great forum.

Ok:

1) GPU will be faster than SMP. SMP WUs are bigger and take longer, but are just as productive (PPD-wise) as GPUs.

2) 31% load? Sounds like you didn't add the "-smp" flag correctly?

3) Restart HFM, and then let the GPU finish a WU. The next WU should show the correct username, as long as it was configured correctly in the first place. ;)

Thanks ! Like i said i did something stupid wink.gif

I moved the shortcut and indeed the -smp flag was gone, after i put it back it hit the 100% load right away.
My name is showing correctly now thanks !

I have another question, just like normal people do i went to bed last night and let it al run. with -smp flag and -bigadv (?) and the GPU client.
I checked this morning and now my GPU client says its "sleeping" .... Ugh, dont sleep, go to work !
Howcome ?

it is the GPU3 client, i do not use the viewer because like zodac said it really slows the pc down. i also let it run as an administrator.
if i restart the client it will do its job but it stops after 1 WU.

out of options atm, couldn't find anything else on the forum either.

sorry for bothering u

Yeah, the 5 series onwards required a new WU core... since v7 was in development at that time, and was somewhat close to release, the decision was taken not to update the older client with the new core (since that would have meant updating all the servers too).

Ok, so I am new to folding and I have a question. I'm folding on both gpu and cpu, I think i have the v7 client. I looked at gpuz while I was folding, and it showed that I was only 400mhz core. Is this normal or whats going on did I do something wrong? It's a Sapphire 5770 VaporX 860mhz/1200mhz.

Also I have a XFX XXX Edition that I'll be reinstalling in a few days, When I get done sleeving my other power supply. Is there anything special I'll need to do, while I have to disable crossfire?
