Major problem, need help

Thread Starter
Tonight I set to installing a few components in my rig:
New 500w PSU
2 more case fans
Artic Freezer 7

After getting everything installed I turned it back it and it won't post. Board is getting power because my PDA and Digi cam turn on and hard drive, gfx card, and dvd spin up but it won't post. I tried clearing the CMOS and no luck. I tried reinstalling the old PSU and no luck. I tried using a molex connector instead of a SATA on the HD, no luck. I tried using a molex to SATA convertor on the HD, no luck. Now when I turn on it will stay on a for minute or so then turn off and try and restart and keeping doing that.

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem can be and how to resolve it??

What PSU is it? Loading things like a PDA and what-not on USB that take power from the USB port all draw on the +5V rail, and if you don't have enough amps on that rail it won't run correctly. Same goes for other rails.

I had a problem some thing like that, but I only removed a HD. I had to reset my memory. Try one stick at a time and see if that works. I'm sure you had to take the memory out with PSU upgrade

I forgot to mention I don't get beeps either.

PSU is a logisys, but I tried the old psu too and no luck

I didn't remove the ram to change the power supply although everything was unplugged. Case was big enough I didn't need to.

I did try both sticks one at a time and no luck

did you plug the 4pin 12v atx connector into the mobo?

tried with the 4 pin connected and without, still nothing

Also removed the mobo, put it on a static bag and tried to boot with just mobo and cpu, no luck.
