Chimp Challenge 2010

A friend of mine who folds for evga told me that Evga is already preparing for the 2010 challenge. If you check there forum they already have it stickied getting ready for us to give them the business. I was not Folding last year for this challenge But I think maybe we should be just as prepared. I know I'm ready.
Does anyone know the exact date or is it yet to be determined.

It's some stage in May and Mort is going to head up the competition this year. Once he's back, hopefully we can get the March Foldathon thread up in a couple of days, then start work on CC.

Hopefully we can get the word out sooner than later. The only thing that will keep us competitive is to get all of our members folding during the challenge.

We need to get the word out early and posted at the top of every forum and subforum. Even Off Topic and the Marketplace.

I fold because I care about the cause and the research, but for the Chimp Challenge my only goal is to defend our crown. I want every member of OCN to share my enthusiasm toward this competition. I want every member of OCN folding during this competition.

If you have never folded before or can only fold on a limited basis the Chimp Challenge is the foldathon of foldathons. Do it for the honor of OCN. We have proven ourselves at ForumWarz. Now lets carry that over to the Chimp Challenge.

This is not a time for ATI vs Nvidia. Intel vs. AMD. Fermi vs. Larrabee.
This is the time for OCN to show that as a collective whole we can out fold the best in the world. If not on a daily basis or yearly basis, then for just 1-2 weeks in 2010. 1-2 weeks when nothing matters but the next WU. 1-2 weeks when you can heat your house solely on the power of your PC. 1-2 weeks when you can say that you fold for OCN, the greatest folding powerhouse to ever grace this beautiful planet.

So mark your calendars now you wonderful members of OCN. Join us in the Folding Forum to hone your craft. Join me and the rest of OCNs folding crew, for the greatest battle for PPD this year.

Definitely, very well said franz.

The GPU2 and SMP guides I've put up should make things a lot easier for new folders to set up the clients and get folding quickly. I'm not sure how we can promote the CC other than announcements (which aren't read by the majority of people outside the Folding Forum) and getting every active folder to add a sig link to both the CC and to some guides/info on folding.

Hey guys ,how did this special event come to be called "Chimp Challenge"?. I will fold as hard as I can but soon it turns hot here in AZ and the electric biil can be 350.00 per month easy from May till Sept, as it is now both my bedroom windows stay open 24/7, the neighbors are wondering what's going on.

Man across the street has Alzsheimers (hope I spelled that correctly) so I took some time and explained to him why my bedroom windows are always open, he kinda liked the idea, he also lost one leg at Bastonge in the "Battle of the Bulge" real interesting person to talk to, Alzsheimers or not, our WWII verterans are diminishing in numbers real fast, people ought to make an effort to provide some kind of service to these and all Veterans (Canadians included).
