Hey guys i was looking at the pokemon soul silver game and it looks good im gonna get it. But i was looking at a website http://www.serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsilver/arceus.shtml and it says i have to use an Arceus from an event to get the lv 1 pokemon on the game as shown on the website. Well do you think it can be any Arceus or do you think the game will specifically know that its not from the event. I got one from my action reply and i was wondering it if that would work too.

Get heartgold... Admittedly, there is always a version that has better Pokemon than the other... And Gold is generally better than Silver.
You cannot get a Growlithe or a Phanpy on Silver. Both with have powerful evolutions. But here is a list for heartgold and soulsilver Pokemon:
Heartgold:
056 Mankey Fighting
057 Primeape Fighting
058 Growlithe Fire
059 Arcanine Fire
167 Spinarak Bug Poison
168 Ariados Bug Poison
207 Gligar Ground Flying
226 Mantine Water Flying
231 Phanpy Ground
232 Donphan Ground
302 Sableye Ghost Dark
343 Baltoy Ground Psychic
344 Claydol Ground Psychic
382 Kyogre Water
458 Mantyke Water Flying
472 Gliscor Ground Flying
Soulsilver:
037 Vulpix Fire
038 Ninetales Fire
052 Meowth Normal
053 Persian Normal
165 Ledyba Bug Flying
166 Ledian Bug Flying
225 Delibird Ice Flying
227 Skarmory Steel Flying
216 Teddiursa Normal
217 Ursaring Normal
303 Mawile Steel
316 Gulpin Poison
317 Swalot Poison
383 Groudon Ground

Serebii is extremely accurate. Games aren't made like antivirus software. There are quite a lot of loops. Try it, and get Heartgold instead. There's a list on Serebii with the differences (pokemon and other stuff). One main difference is the levels Ho-oh and Lugia are. In Soul Silver, Lugia is level (I think) 50 and Ho-oh an level 70. It's the other way around in Heart Gold.
