7800gt for sli or 360 - Page 2

Get a 360. At least that won't be going out of date inside of 6 months.... PS3 will be great, but will offer similar performance to a 360, so either of those and you're set for cutting edge console gaming for the next 5 years.

This is a no brainer to me. No games benefit from having 7800s in SLI. Who cares if you're getting 200fps, that doesn't justify the money to me. 60fps is all you need, and anyone who claims that isn't enough for them must have Superman eyes!

So, if there are games on the X360 that you want to play right now that are not available on the PC, then get an X360. If not, do what Orange suggests and save your money for when a PC upgrade will actually get you something for your money other than fps bragging rights.

Nothing in particular, if you have money to burn. But if he had money to burn, this would not be an either-or question; he would just buy both. And given the choice between playing new games or getting more fps out of games I have already played to death, I'll take new games every time.

Thread Starter
ive had an xbox and only use it for halo 2 occasionaly. I spend most of my gaming time on the PC playing FEAR and EQ2. I think i will just save up for the next highend nvidia card. thank you for ur input (:

I will probably have excess money over the summer to spend on a console anyway
