Which ram would i get the most value out of. Keep in mind that i have a presler D 940 and that i want to overclock to 4.1ghz

And i wanna have at least 4gb's when vista is released.

So i do plan on ordering 2 of these 2gb kits (4 dimms)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227045

or

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...tCode=85016-16

and theres this also but i dont really see the difference between this kit and the other corsair kit

2nd link saves you a few bucks but If you have enough go for the 3rd link. It's slightly higher speed will give you a little more room to get the most out of your CPU.

I don't like the OCZ because it it only PC4200 and the timings are 3-3-3-8. I don't know how it will overclock, but that is not the best ram for your money, IMO. I would probably go with the Corsair, for the simple fact that it is faster ram. It will also run slightly tighter timings with more voltage.

If you want to spend over $400 on new RAM a year from now then get the OCZ...

No, sorry, it doesn't work that way. Just hang around the forums a bit, answer some questions, and you will have rep points in no time.

Good luck with the ram and build, and let us know how it goes.

The 5400UL and 8000UL use faster Micron chips than the C4 series. The UL series will run extremely fast, upwards of DDR2 1000, that is, each stick running at 500mhz. The C4 series is a little more mainstream, hence the lower price. It's still good ram, but not for extreme overclocking.

And yes, the C4 Pro just has led's, you are correct.
