[Mac OSX] Setting up the SMP (CPU) client - Page 7

Hmm.

i7 MBP @ 2.2 Pulling about 10-14K PPD mostly.
I have several dozen iMacs, but all of them are running Windows 7 right now, and they're old C2D's. They do fold though. Expecting a hardware refresh next month. Should wind up with IB i5's (3330S I think). And those have 640M or 650M's too.... although I don't think I can GPU fold on them because it can't run as a service in newer windows, and these lab computers spend most of their time logged out. As a guess that hardware running Windows should do maybe 12-15K PPD each CPU, and maybe 7-9K PPD each GPU, based on WU's I'm seeing in early 2013.

I've noticed with the last 3 rounds of v7, that it may be best to uninstall the previous version before updating. The last update I did to 7.3.6, folding stopped working completely. Had to use the OS X folding uninstaller from the folding beta client page, and delete my config/work manually too. Then reinstalled to fix it.

XP can access the GPUs as a service. That ability was removed with Vista/Win7.

Still no GPU clients for Mac OS X?
