Is it the 60gb agility in your sig?... If thats the case make sure you're doing a secure erase before trying to install windows. Do NOT format the drive from windows install, just choose next when windows asks you for the partition information this will install the drive with the correct alignment.

also use this http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...OCZ-SSD-Drives good luck

Nm you didnt even read the post

"[QUOTE]As mentioned above, Windows 7 aligns partitions by default correctly, so there is no need for preparations before installing Win7. Using the install DVD its best to delete any partitions or volumes present on the disk (new disks will have none present) and just hit NEXT at the install/format screen. Windows 7 will create and format partitions on the SSD automatically, there is no need to create and format a partition UNLESS you are going to have more than 1 partition on the disk. Just hitting NEXT will result in 2 partitions on the drive, 1 around 200MB big and the other filling the remaining space on the drive...this is totally normal and the partitions are aligned./QUOTE]

also did you read anything on there at all about "booting to a windows 32 bit partition and then running secure erase to reset the drive and make it ready for windows installation?

You're getting the error because ssds dont format the way spinning disks do.

I read the thread and the ssd is already formatted to some point...I get the error but It says the drive is fully clear. And how would I boot to windows32bit when I dont have a 32bit copy?

Let me see if i can find that for you......

http://neosmart.net/blog/2009/window...-repair-discs/

Now...1. To run sanitary erase you put it on a usb drive and plug in the drive. In bios put your drive interface to ide mode ( this is important.
2. Boot with the windows 32 bit cd ( you're not installing anything) when it gets to the screen for choosing to install windows just press ctrl-f10 this will give you a command prompt screen.
3. Navigate to the thumb drive and type in sanitary_erase.exe, it will give you a list of drives to choose from, make sure you choose the ssd. If sanitary erase takes more than 30 seconds you may have a faulty drive, most times it takes about 10 seconds.
4.Exit the windows install screen, take out the cd, take out the usb drive, if you use ide for drive mode then just install windows 7, if you use ahci make sure you set it back to that.
5. when installing w7 64bit and you get to the drive choice screen do not choose format, just make sure the ssd is highlighted and click next.

p.s. if you dont want to use a disk or the above file, you can just as easily do the boot up from a usb drive, just do a google search for installing windows with a usb drive and it HAS to be 32 bit, sanitary erase will not work in a 64 bit environment, no idea why that is.

First problem is my board doesn't have ANY kind of mode selection from IDE/ACHI anything...which is what I think is causing the issue(atleast to some extent.). I also got a new error after I took it to my friends house...and its now saying Error code: 0x80070002

I appreciate the help though +rep
