Zalman 7000 and Ceramique - Results

Thread Starter
My Ceramique (also an AS product) came today and I got to work re-pasting the CPU. Now after I redid the CPU and fired it up I thought I got ripped off. My idle temp was still the same (30). But then I ran prime95 and saw that my load temp went from 47 with the Zalman paste to 43 with the Ceramique. Also, Ceramique is a very thick paste that will require some time to cure. I have been seeing my idle temp click down to 29 a few times, so I know it's getting better.

Now I chose Ceramique because I have been involved in electronics in general for years. And using a conductive paste just doesn't turn me on. I know it may work awesome, but the fact that it's conductive turned me away from it. I get good temps and this CPU is not going to OC any farther so I am happy with this paste.

Yeah that AS Ceramique is good stuff, i plan on using it when i reseat next.

But whats really nice is the cure time is ~20 hours

Plus its non-conductive!

The idle temp with coolers usually doesn't change much due to the ambient temperature...you cant have cooler temperatures than the ambient with standard air cooling.
But the load is where you see the change, which you did. Congrats and try overclocking that NC some more...those things are hard to clock.
