Asus P4P800-SE System Problem

Thread Starter
I have just recently installed a 250 gb seagate sata hard drive and now when i try to send the system into standby all my case fans stay on. The monitor goes off like it is supposed to and the front power LED starts flashing. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there is ne way to fix it.

this would mean that ur computer is not completely going to standby and its actually hanging....but question is this did this happen b4 the drive installation also? if it did then its a different question...but i think maybe u have to clean ur registry and dll files....run a utility software like norton systemworks or something..also b4 u do anything else...update ur windows...coz its also a classic windows problem not being able to go to suspend and standby....there is a particular patch for that...
