Some IBM thing. But the client's coding is more important than pure CPU power. Plus Stanford send a very specific WU, doing specified reseacrh, to the PS3.

Stanford has not re-adjusted the ppd, ever since the GPU2 client came out rockin' and rollin'. But it is a PowerPC based architecture, and costs time to code for.

There's no way this thing will be going 24/7 because this is my only computer over here. I use it for class and stuff too! First attempt at Linux was kind of a funny failure. I just ran it from the flash drive... I was like... that was a quick install!

Research is a good thing... Apparently there's an Ubuntu distro based off UNR but made specifically for the Eee. All the drivers for full functionality are built in.

Currently downloading EasyPeasy (Previously called Ubuntu Eee).

Argh... now I have to wait another hour!

But that jump from 1.6GHz to 2 really makes a difference. Especially with the GMA950 at 400MHz. Using Media Player Classic, as long as I kill explorer (lol) I can watch 720P without much stutter!

I love how small this computer is, but it would be wonderful if it was more powerful... My next laptop will probably be the Alienware M11X.

Anyywayssss... I'm working on some stuff for lab so I won't be able to get this thing folding until tomorrow. But once I do... y'all better watch out.
