9600xt mem timings and overclocking

Thread Starter
Can anyone help me out with setting the timings of my Sapphire 9600xt 256MB so I can get a bit better overclock on my memory? I was just wondering if that will affect anything. I heard about some sort of bios flash that will set better timings for overclocking but I can't seem to find it. I will be using ati tray tool to change mem timings. Current settings are as follows:

Oh yeah, ram is 2.8ns

WR Latency - 1.0
CAS Latency - 4
CMD Latency - 0 clock
Strobe Latency - =WR Latency+1/2 clock

TRCDRD - 6
TRCDWR - 3
TRP - 6
TRAS - 12
TRRD - 2
TR2W - CL+3
TWR - 3
TW2R - 2
TW2RSame Bank - 3
TR2R - 2

Memory Refresh Rate - 36
TRFC - 22

Also, I know changing these settings can kill my card, but as long as it lasts at least a few months I'm happy with it as it was only cheap. Thanks in advance to anyone with some helpful information.

I think its better to overclock the memory instead of tightening the timings. I got my 9600XT all the way up to 737MHz on the memory.
Very nice!

I was wondering about loosening the timings to achieve a higher overclock actually.

if thats memory, that means its in DDR. I just answered a thread and lucky you, i have the screenshot available for ya. your Mem score in ATI Tool is not in DDR more, Dual something somethign LOL...so basically...if in ATI Tool it says your Mem is 200, its effectively 400...325 means you have effective 650 MhZ core...woof
