Found My 3800 X2 Max O/C

I think this is as far as my 3800 X2 will go, I can get it to boot at 2.7, but then the ram goes crazy and I dont want to run a divider for an extra 100mhz.

What do you guys think, this is my personal best o/c ever. Spent a lot of time tweaking little things, mostly with the ram. Also its as stable as it is at stock speeds.

I'd go for the extra CPU speed. If you can push an extra 100Mhz out of it then that will more than compensate losing a few Mhz on the ram

Danavas, can you post what settings you used in the BIOS to achiecve that speed? I have a 3800+ X2 as well but have had next to no luck OC'ing this beast. Thanks.

I cant get above 2.7, no matter what I change, I think it may be the limit of my CPU

I'll post my BIOS settings in a lil bit, I had a lil ram trouble. Stupid OCZ Gold VX cold boot issue. I set the tFrc to 17, then 19, and then I stoped messing with it cuz it wouldnt boot. Think I fried the ram, so waiting to get it RMAed by OCZ.

Good job....esp on air.....i would definitely go for more clocks....plus, running dividers on AMDs doesn't hinder performance much...my mem score w/out divider are only 15 pts higher than with it @ 100MHz....so it doesn;t really matter....esp with 2GB of ram

according to the cpu-z shot you are already running a divider...cpu/10. Higher frequency will always win over memory speed or timings.

that isn't a divider, that's 1:1. His multi is 10. if he's running 2600 mhz, divide by 10 = 260.
