Just got the this motherboard and loving it. My i7 930 overclocked to 4.0Ghz easily on first try and stable too. I'm definitely going to be trying to push this to 4.4-4.5Ghz range.

For some strange reason Bios and windows only recognize 4GB, but CPUZ recognizes 6GB. Is anyone else having this problem? I'm guessing I need a bios update?

Got my board back from RMA today, loving it. Also my NB had 2 screws but temps are good, hovering around 50C.

Is it bad if my QPI/DRAM (VTT) is at 1.24v and my Dram voltage is at 1.64v

Difference is 0.4v, its close to the 0.5v limit to not exceed.
Is it bad?

What are your values for these settings?

Code:

Digi+ PWR Mode

PWR Volt. Control
Load-Line Calibration
CPU Voltege OCP
CPU PWM Frequency
Does anyone know the safe max voltages for these settings?

Code:

CPU Voltage

CPU PLL Voltage
QPI/DRAM Core Voltage
DRAM Bus Voltage
IOH Voltage
IOH PCIE Voltage
ICH Voltage
ICH PCIE Voltage
Also, my Corsair Dominators have 1.65v labeled, but the board only lets me do 1.65625 and then a warning comes up. Is it safe to be over by .00625v?

Google is you friend over here, I have to look for theses answers, but Load Line calibration just help to prevent Vdrop...leaving at auto works fine for me

CPU Voltage (Max intel 1.3625v but I stay under 80'C, I can put up to 1.45 v)
CPU PLL Voltage max Intel 1.9v but again...you choose, you usually dont even need 1.9v unless you pass 4.5 Ghz
QPI/DRAM Core Voltage 1.35-1.4v should be fine, I heard some used 1.55v 24/7
DRAM Bus Voltage 1.65v unless you want to go at higher Ram clock that you ram can support, you'll have to add voltage
IOH Voltage I heard 1.3V was for one Vid Card and 1.35v was for many, leaving at auto is suppose to work fine
IOH PCIE Voltage auto
ICH Voltage auto
ICH PCIE Voltage auto
Also, my Corsair Dominators have 1.65v labeled, but the board only lets me do 1.65625 and then a warning comes up. Is it safe to be over by .00625v?
It is completly safe to be over...who cares if your components degrade o.ooo2time faster than it suppose to be, anyway, you'll change everything after max 3 years and you wont even notice degrading with All you voltages in the yellow zone. Just try not to push it to far.

There is a wide range of X58 motherboards on the market, but very few cater to the diehard enthusiast, particularly the extreme overclocking crowd. And of those that do, on a select few products offer the new SATA III and USB 3.0 features. One of the boards that meets these criteria is the ASUS Rampage III Extreme, designed for serious overclocking and made to be pushed very hard. Packed with an extensive list of features, it does sound promising, and we've come to expect big things from ASUS in the Repubic of Gamers product lineups.
