New Hyundai TFT

Bought today - Hyundai Imagequest Q70U.

17" TFT
1280x1024
3ms Grey-Grey response
700:1 Contrast Ratio
300cd/m² Brightness
0.264mm Pixel Pitch

First impressions - Very nice looking monitor, clean lines and simple design. Love the blue power light, better than green

The picture is not a touch on my ViewSonic CRT, but no TFT yet can match a good CRT :/. It is nice and clear though, and the colours do seem to be fairly good. Not played a game yet so don't know about that. I have scanned the screen and found 1 pixel stuck on green. No others that I can see yet. I'm going to hop into CS:S and check it out

The bad parts - The adjustment buttons are sort of...stiff. They are very small and hard to get purchase on. The monitor does not come with a DVI cable, so I'm stuck on VGA until I buy one - maybe this will improve the picture a little. The VGA cable is a little tricky to get into its socket on the back of the monitor because the stand gets in the way.

Meh, i haven't bought into the hype of the TFT yet. I still have my fancy CRT, looks better thn ANY TFT i'll venture, it still is a pain in the 455 to carry t to lan parties though, not that i mind the wright, but there is no real good place to hold it....i'll just wait and get a tft when hell freexes over or my current monitor goes out, whichever comes first.

The 15" LCD I'm using now isn't the greatest but compared to my Viewsonic that I just sold, I'd have to disagree that CRTs are better, but thats in the eye of the beholder and which ever one prefers.

Looks like a nice monitor enjoy it

Sounds brilliant! Shame about that 1 green pixel, that's what I don't want, to order my new moniter to find it has a dead pixel

Muffin, about your stuck pixel... Try pressing on the screen with your nail somewhat firmly and see if it becomes unstuck. I'm not going to lie, my screen came with a stuck red pixel and I pressed on my screen where it was and it became unstuck and never had it stick again. Hope that works for you too.
