You have one of the $1000 EE chips???? lol

Tom's hardware doesn't have the 9xx series in their cpu benchmark chart to be able to compare the two.

but I would expect with the 65nm core and double the L2 cache size, the 9xx would be faster (but no HT)........how much faster I don't know, but with the 9xx's cheaper than the EE..........

If you are just looking to game with your rig and aren't going to be doing any type of serious multitasking (video encoding while gaming) I'd stick with the EE. While the 9XX chips may be 65nm and dual core, you're going to want raw power for your rig if you are looking to game with it.

Otherwise, if you want to be able to do a million other things at once, go for the 9XX chips, from what I understand they overclock really well (up to 4GHz on air from what I've read).
