Highest End Agp Card Best For Overclocking? - Page 4

Ok, maybe not twice as fast, but take a look at this :

As for the overclocking part, I could be wrong once again, but considering it is based on G70 can there be a chance of unlocking a few pipes? Stock it is 16p/6v 375GPU and 1000Mem, but the G70 can go higher.

I was a little enthusiastic, my bad

Men, i'm no nVidia fan, but if those benches tell the truth, then 7800GS is a very good performer, supports sm3.0, overclocks like crazy and the bonus: it may be possible to unlock some extra pipes. All that for 300€... Preety good for the AGP users

Ok first thing I must point out is that they are using a 2600 XP, and is you do the math 13479/12073 = 1.116. SO when overclocked the 7800 is only at most 12% faster, in their tests, than the x850XT, a far cry from twice as fast, they didnt even compare the XTPE. And nVidia destroys the extra 8 pipes. on that core just like the 4 they destroy to get the 7800GTX to a 7800GT.
