Sean,

What would you recommend for a EVGA SR-2 and Dual Xeon X5650, I plan on OC a little.

Would like 2 sets of 12GB.

Thanks
SR-2

I would go with 2 of the 998953 kits and run them at 7-8-7-24 @ DDR3-1600

A number of SR-2 owners have had good results with the 998826 kit as well

Either way sounds like a great build!

Can I use 4 kits of the 998826?

Yes you can use 4 kits of 998826.
Just make sure that your CPU cooler will clear the Ridgebacks in that first memory slot, they are 40mm high.
If you don't have that much room get the 998805 kits, only difference between them and the Ridgebacks is the heat spreaders.

I will be using H20 cooling for the CPUs, so no clearence issues there.

Sean,

Was wondering with my memory 996805, if I run them at 1333, can I tighten the timings to 6-8-6-24 at that speed? and if so would I have to increase the voltage for the ram and IMC?

Thanks

You can probably go to 6-6-6-18 at that speed with stock voltage. Have a go
