Mushkin Enhanced Support - Page 36

Do you have the memory in the correct slots, and did you try one stick at a time?

On X58 the memory slots are often different than you may be used to, most all of them you need to use slots 2-4-6 physically from the CPU. Check your manual to be sure, but this could be the problem if you have the memory installed in slots 1-3-5 physical.

They are often labeled 1-3-5, but those would be 2-4-6 actual physical slots, sometimes this confuses users and it is 1-3-5 you need to use, but they are normally not physically 1-3-5 from the CPU.

Yeah I'm using the physical slots 2-4-6. I had checked my manual before installing.

The 998805 Redlines should work in the Sabertooth.
Can you get the mobo to POST if you install just one stick?
Thanks for the reply Sean.

I did try earlier to get it working with one stick and yes it posted. I couldn't have been happier.

After a while I went into bios and changed to the xmp setting. That worked fine.

Then I added another stick. That worked fine. Then I added the final stick. Didn't post. Now I can't even get it to post with one stick. My computer has a grudge against me. >.>

Problem solved. I realized that the force required to insert them on this board is FAR higher then I was used to. It now posts with all 3 in.

Thanks for the help anyway Sean and lsdmeasap,

Not sure, unfortunately I never got it to work properly in my motherboard; had to trade kits with a friend.

This review should hopefully help you out though:
