I am sure that Intel would say that there is, just like they do with X58 and 1156. Right now nobody really knows as there is no long term track record with SB. I would stay conservative at least for now.
SB does seem to clock memory really well though, so huge voltages may not be an issue, time will tell...

How's the availability of the 2x4GB DDR3 1600 (7-8-7-24) kit (996954)? Newegg is out of stock and has been for some time now.

Not good ATM, 4GB modules have been a trying group to put it nicely.
One batch will be awesome and the next is crap.
When we get some ICs that will pass qualification they will be available again.

Hey Sean, does mushkin plan on making specifically designed memory sticks for Intel's 1155 sandy bridges? I know G.Skill does and anticipate the other top vendors to probably follow suite. Thanks for the info.

Marketing will probably have something aimed specifically at 1155, but really the requirements are the same as 1156.

I can run 2000Mhz @ 1.65v with 7-10-7-24 and up to 1730 with 6-8-6-24 (1.65v) also.

The 996805 kit will work, the frequency you end up with may end up being different, as your Memory multi's will be DDR3-1600/1866/2133.

That's a very straight forward answer, I really appreciate it .

Ok I think the answer to my question is in the above quote but I'm going to ask anyway.

What happened to the 2000MHz Redline and Cas 7 Blackline kits ? (996750 & 996829) EOL and no longer available I get that part but will they be replaced by something else comparable or are we just SOL if looking for something a little less mainstream from Mushkin.

Sales was nice enough to reply back to my question and recomend a couple 1600MHz kits but that isn't what I'm after. Already have a 1600MHz kit that I'm happy with and I'm thinking about getting something I can push a little harder for 2d benchmarking.

Mushkin has a few sticks that used it in the past. Unfortunately, Elpida Hypers (both MNH-E and MGH-E) are EOL. That's why they're so hard to find.

Hi again, Sean,

I ended up buying the new ASUS P8P67 Deluxe mobo, and am planning on installing an i7 2600k. I was just curious if the Redline (996805) memory works with this setup. If I had acted earlier, I would have had more choices @ CAS latency of 6 (on Newegg), but it seems this is the last model they have.

I doubt they would do that, more likely that new parts would be labeled as engineered for 1155/1156

The 996750 kit is EOL.

If we can get modules that will pass the 996829 spec. they will be available again.

As xxbassplayerxx said Hypers are EOL, if you want Hypers the only choice is to get them used.

Yes the 996805 kit will work on the P8P67 mobo.
We did find in the lab that you need to manually set the "DRAM CAS# Write Latency" to 8

Hey Sean, I have the Mushkin Redlines 3 x 2GB and I've been running it at 2000Mhz at 7-10-7-24 at 1.65V, I've been wondering is their a recommended voltage to stay in with this kit or just whatever under 1.65V that's post?

1.60V-1.65V is fine for those speeds
