Thread Starter
Hi everyone,
Im new to these forums but i need some advice with psus. My pc is pretty loud and i am replacing some of the components. My psu is an Antec smart power 350watts. If i get a quieter PSU will there be a big difference in noise? if yes, which PSUs do u reccomend?? Thanks in advance

Get something with a single 140mm fan... Antec and most decent companies have those.

I have the SeaSonic S12-600 and I love it, it comes in sizes from 330W all the way up to my 600W so it depends on your needs and budget but yes it is absolutely silent, I had it hooked up outside of my case and it sounded just like you would expect a 700RPM 120MM to sound like, I couldn't hear it! And believe me, I am the Fuhrer of the noise nazis

Take your pick Note that the 500 and 600 are slightly louder so the 430, 380 and 300 will be even quieter than mine! (use a different fan, according to SPCR)

agreed, get a Seasonic S12 series. they are very efficient, have huge heatsinks so the slow rpm fan is more than enough to keep it cool and quiet. When I went from my Aspire psu to my S12-600 I noticed a huge decrease in sound level.
