Sounds like your processor is eating away from your score, I got mine with a P4 3.0GHz clocked at 3.67GHz with mem @ 245 1:1.. So I had a processor advantage.. To compare only our GPUs, run aquamark03, that will give you a seperate GPU score and a CPU score...

Yea, that's default... 4xAA with high details, well here
is mine, though I had 65k at one point, but I can't find that scrennie..

The major difference in the score should be quite odvious, the CPU.. though our graphics cards are comparable, 8.8k for me and 7.7k for you.

my recomendations.. Tighten down your mem timings, crank as much juice out of your processor, and Defrag you HD often along with your memory... Also, close out of all programs that you arn't using.. and finally, clean up your desktop (assuming it's not allready clean)

My recommended mem timings are 3-4-4-8 @ DDR 400. I have it at these timings now. My FSB is also at it's highest, if I put it up by only one I get random reboots. I cannot adjust my cpu vcore which is holding me back.

Back to the topic, at 360/850 I got artifacts, so now I'm back at 350/825 just to be on the safe side. I also had a BSOD at the 360/850 settings, and it rebooted right after the BSOD so I could not see the message. One other thing that annoys me is that the fan is now operating at 33,3% according to Rivatuner (I removed Asus Smartdoctor from my system) while I let Rivatuner let the fans run 100% at any time, it still shows 33,3% at the hardware monitor thing.

Intresting about the fan, does it seem like it is running at 1/3 of the speed before? If not, your probably running into a bug in Rivatuner. Though, I would look for some options that have to deal with fan adjustment during 2d and 3d rendering.. I belive they exist in a button below the fan and temp readout graph in Rivatuner.. Unfortunatly, my main rig is still under repair so I can't look at Rivatuner myself.. (giving blind instructions is hard)

Running 375/835 and installed the new 83.40 drivers and .. well this explains:

A 200 point increase from installing new drivers, the rest is from the OC. Old drivers were 71.90 I think. Also I scored 1705 in 3Dmark06.. but that cpu test is crazy it doesn't go above "0 fps".

Hum, my CPU test goes at 2-3 on 05, I'm yet to get 06 going..but yea, that really stresses out your CPU...

Heh, yea new drivers really help, man you were running some old forceware's...Oh, I got another tip, program your drivers to there config. for running 3dmarkxx. That will give you a point boost also. You can do that in rivatuner on the main page, bottom pull down bar.

The bottom pull down bar only says "Global driver settings" no other option. Do I need to add a profile or...?

With my 9800pro I get a 21k on 3dmark 01, and a 6600gt is better than my 9800pro

Prolly because 3DMark 01 has alot to do with CPU power. Run AM3 and post a screenshot for me.
