FIRST TIME POSTER! I have gotten up to 2600MHz on my AMD 3500 but can NOT get cold boot stability for the life of me .Ideas appreciated, anybody?
SYSTEM:
ECS KV2 Extreme Mobo (K8T800)
OCZ Platinum Rev2 512Mb X 2
Antec Neopower 480W
'Loads' of fans inc.Coolermaster Hyper6 HSF
Maxtor SATA 250Gig HD

BIOS SETTINGS:
"Hammer Fid" X10(ranges from X4-X11)
"Hammer Vid" 1.475 (ranges from 0.825-1.55 )
"Asynch AGP" 66MHz (Can also pick Disabled/75.4)
"DRAM Timing"2.5-3-3-7
"MEMClock Index" 200 (100/133/166)
"LDT Bus Freq." 800(1000/200/400/600)
"DIMM Voltage Adjust" 2.7V (2.55-2.7)

Nobody able to help a first time poster!?

I know the honest reason, and please do not be offended:

ECS mobo's are one of the worst companies, looked upon as almost the cheapest budget boards. Asking it to overclock at all is telling President G.W.B. to get smart...

Sorry dude, but maybe you can return that mobo and get an ASRock board...it's the only budget board under $100 I can think of that will do minor oc'ing, and it's still fun to do. Plus, the board has a cult following at some sites, so all the better support.

So you can get it to boot eventually but it just won't cold boot? Also is it an A64 or just the 32 athlon?

Edit: Sorry didn't read the title. Hey your HTT is up to 260 and you are running your memory at a 1:1 ratio. You memory might not want to overclock that much. Drop the memory down to 166MHz. Also please fill out your System Specs so I can read what you have easier. I don't think it's your mobo. I mean I'm new also, but there is a lot to try before jumping to that conclusion. Also, have you ran memtest+ or Prime95 once you get it booted?

Hey I just saw tytlyf post this rad memory freq calculator. Use this to figure out what your memory speed should be at. Remember that you want the memory under 200Mhz if you have DDR400. So you want it probably set to 133MHz in the bios.
